May Reading Notes
Well, hello, hello!
After two weeks away, I’m back from our Scotland trip, and I have no words to describe it other than fantastic. It has been a few years since Dean and I took a vacation just the two of us, where we fully unplugged from work, and it was much needed. Our days were filled with tea, pastries, long walks over rolling hills, ferry rides, bookshop visits, and trying to find new ways to say “beautiful” every time we arrived at a new vista. I’m just starting to go through my photos and look forward to sharing some soon.
Now I’m back home and settling back into the day-to-day routine. I was happy to be reunited with the cats, but I have definitely had a touch of the post-vacation blues this week.
May, especially the second half, was packed to the gills. Amidst all of that, I still found time to read and can happily report that I enjoyed every single book I picked up.
So, read on for:
Some great beach reads I discovered
Thoughts on two buzzy summer romances
A lovely coming-of-age novel set in the art world
Now, onto the books…
